STOS MEDIA LTD (academia.media) owns and operates this website. These terms and conditions apply to Users of the Website and pertain to the Services provided through it. Users agreement to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions is deemed to occur upon your first use of the Website. If Users do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, (you) Users should stop using the Website immediately. Within these terms and conditions, "including" means "including without limitation".

- User(s): any person that accesses the Website and is not (i) both employed by STOS MEDIA LTD and acting in the course of their employment or (ii) actively providing services to STOS MEDIA LTD;
- Website: the website https://academia.media and any sub-domains of it unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions;
- Services: the functionality of the website and efforts of STOS MEDIA LTD that enables Users to communicate and access and share information (personal or other);
- User Content: any and all information Users publish on the Website excluding User Messages; and
- User Messages: any and all information Users send on the Website via the Messages module.
Use of the Website
Users agree not to use the Website to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory or that could negatively impact upon the functioning of the Website. Users may never attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the server on which it is stored or any server, computer or database connected to it.
Users who create an account on the Website may never share their account password. Users are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on their account. Users may never access the Website using another User’s account. When creating an account, Users must provide accurate and complete information. Users must notify Us immediately if they become aware of unauthorised use of their account.
Users with accounts have the ability to publish content on the Website: User Content. In doing so, Users warrant that all data provided by them is accurate and that all personal information is representative of them. We do not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any User Content.

Users affirm that they are not in breach of any intellectual rights or copyright property rights or contrary to applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations when publishing User Content.

In other words, Users are not permitted to share another User’s User Content unless they are given consent by that User. Users automatically consent for other Users to both use and share any and all information they publish on the Website in the Stories module.
Users are solely responsible for their User Messages and the consequences of the sending of said messages. Users affirm that they are not in breach of any intellectual rights or copyright or contrary to applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations when sending User Messages.
We will never share a User’s User Messages unless explicitly requested to do so by that User.
Users accept that User Messages are intended to be private communications between two individuals or - in cases of User Messages sent between individual academics and individual media professionals - between an individual media professional, an individual academic and the communications professionals representing that academic.
The copyright in material on the Website is either owned by or licensed to Us. You may not reprint, reproduce, republish, or otherwise distribute content that appears on the Website in any way except for their own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these terms, without explicitly expressed permission in writing from a Director of STOS MEDIA LTD.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, We provide the Website on an “as is” and on an “as available” basis, without representations, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, any representations, warranties or conditions of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy; We do not guarantee that it will always be safe and/or secure or that it will always function without disruptions, delays or imperfections. We do not endorse any User Content or User Messages and disclaim any and all liability in connection with them.
In no event shall We be liable for any loss or damage arising as a result of the use or inability to use the Website.
